The Australian Government's Community Water Grants programme offers grants to help local community organisations save, recycle or improve the health of their local water resources.

The Smart Water Fund was established to encourage and support innovative development of water, biosolids recycling and water saving projects within the community.

Melbourne Water: provides excellent educational resources for primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. They also offer educational tours that focus on water supply, water cycle, sewerage and water sensitive urban design. Melbourne's water supply catchments, remove and treat most of Melbourne's sewage, and manage rivers and creeks and major drainage systems throughout the Port Phillip and Westernport region.

Yarra Valley Water provides high quality water and sewerage services to over 1.5 million customers in Melbourne’s northern and eastern suburbs. Includes info on water restrictions now in place.

City West Water provides drinking water, sewerage, trade waste and recycled water services to customers in Melbourne’s Central Business District and inner and western suburbs. South East Water provides water and sewerage services to around 594,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers from Port Melbourne to Portsea and Mordialloc to some 40 kilometres east of Berwick.
